Terms of Use
Effective date: May 26, 2026
These terms govern your use of HumanizerBench at humanizerbench.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by WriteHuman. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
What HumanizerBench is
HumanizerBench is a public, auditable benchmark of commercial AI humanizers. Each cycle, the same prompts are run through every tested humanizer, each output is submitted to a fixed set of commercial AI detectors, and the results are scored by a published deterministic formula. The Site publishes the leaderboard, the underlying data, the scoring script, and a description of the methodology.
The Site does not provide an AI humanization service. It is an information resource. Visiting the Site does not create any account, contract for services, or vendor relationship with you.
Operator disclosure
WriteHuman sells one of the humanizers ranked on the leaderboard. That relationship is disclosed on the homepage, the About page, and the Fairness page. WriteHuman is held to the same methodology, scoring, and penalty rules as every other tested humanizer. Editorial control of the benchmark (what is tested, how it is scored, what is published) is independent of WriteHuman's commercial product team. No payment for placement is accepted from any vendor, including WriteHuman.
Use of the benchmark data
You may read, cite, quote, and reference the leaderboard and the published data for journalistic, academic, research, comparative, and commercial purposes, provided that you attribute the source to "HumanizerBench" and link to the relevant page on the Site. You may not present the data in a way that materially misrepresents the methodology, the scoring, or a specific humanizer's results.
The raw cycle bundles published under /data/cycles/ in the
public repository linked from the footer are intended to be downloaded
and re-run; re-running the published scoring script against the
published inputs is expressly permitted and encouraged.
Trademarks and third-party names
Product names, trademarks, and logos referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners. The use of those names on the Site is for factual identification of the humanizers and detectors that are tested and does not imply any endorsement of, affiliation with, or sponsorship by the named parties.
Newsletter
If you submit your email address to the Site's newsletter form, your email will be stored and used to send periodic updates about the benchmark. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. Email handling is described in the WriteHuman Privacy Policy.
No warranties
The Site, the leaderboard, the underlying data, and the scoring outputs are provided "as is" and "as available." HumanizerBench and WriteHuman make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. The benchmark reflects the behavior of third-party humanizers and detectors at a specific point in time; those products change frequently, and the published results may not reflect current vendor behavior.
The leaderboard is an informational comparison and should not be relied on as the sole basis for any purchasing, academic, legal, or business decision. Detector outputs reflect the verdicts of third-party commercial detectors as observed during a specific cycle and are not determinations of authorship, originality, or academic integrity.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HumanizerBench and WriteHuman, and their respective officers, employees, and agents, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site, the leaderboard, or the published data. Aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
Vendor concerns and corrections
If you are a humanizer or detector vendor and you believe the methodology was misapplied to your product, contact the operator (see below). Submissions will be reviewed against the published methodology and scoring script. Corrections, if warranted, will be made transparently and disclosed in the next cycle. Disagreement with the methodology itself is not, on its own, grounds for an adjustment to published results.
Privacy
Information collected by the Site, including newsletter signups and server-side request logs, is handled in accordance with the WriteHuman Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt the Site, scrape it in a way that imposes unreasonable load, or interfere with other users.
- Do not submit other people's email addresses to the newsletter form.
- Do not misrepresent the published methodology, scoring, or per-humanizer results.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to WriteHuman's operating jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The specific jurisdiction is described in the WriteHuman Privacy Policy and supporting policies.
