How to read these scores

Each detector returns a human-likelihood on a common 0 to 1 scale, where 1 means it judged the text human-written and 0 means it flagged it as AI. On these pages a verdict counts as passed when that score is at least 0.50, the midpoint of the detector's own scale. That threshold exists only to draw the chips: the bypass rate on the leaderboard is the mean of each test's median score across the 5 detectors, a continuous number, so a tool's pass count and its bypass rate will not be the same figure.

A few runs come back with fewer than 5 verdicts because a detector did not return a usable score for them. A run still counts as passing at least 4 detectors only if that many detectors actually scored it and passed it. A partially scored run is counted as caught if any detector that did score it flagged the output, and is otherwise listed separately as partly scored.

Meaning is the input↔output embedding cosine and readability is a language-model writing-quality rating, both published per test in tests.json. Words is the output's length as a multiple of the input's; the scoring code penalizes ratios above 1.40 or below 0.60. Full definitions live in the methodology.

Humanized outputs

# Cover Letter for Policy Analyst Position Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing to make known my interest in the Policy Analyst post with the City of [City Name]. Since I have a solid record in public policy research, data analysis, and community engagement, I am keen to help advance the city's aim of creating effective and equitable policies which improve the quality of life for residents. In the capacity that I now hold as a Policy Research Associate with [Current Organization], I have developed the skill of turning complicated data into practical suggestions for those making decisions. Recently, I carried out an in-depth examination of affordable housing schemes, this involving a review of zoning regulations, holding interviews with stakeholders, and comparing best practices from other municipalities of a similar kind. As a result of this project, three policy recommendations were accepted by our city council and this led to an increase of 15% in the number of affordable housing units the following year. I realize that in order to carry out effective policy analysis it is necessary not only to have technical expertise but also to demonstrate a strong commitment to understanding the needs of communities and to deal with the political environment in a thoughtful manner. During my career I have always made it a priority to establish relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, such as community organizations, business leaders, and government officials, so that the policy recommendations made take into account the needs of all residents. The experience I have gained from organizing public forums and from explaining technical findings in language that is easy for community members to understand has improved my capacity to connect data-driven analysis with public engagement. What attracts me so strongly to this position is [City Name]'s latest efforts in [specific area, e.g., sustainable transportation, economic development, or public health]. The work you have done on [reference a specific project or policy] matches well with my professional values and the experience I have in [related skill or project]. I am looking forward to the chance to apply my analytical abilities and my collaborative style to a team that is committed to promoting positive change in the community. The fact that I am skilled in statistical software (such as R and Stata), together with my good abilities in writing and presenting, enables me to carry out thorough analysis and at the same time communicate the results clearly to a wide range of audiences—ranging from technical staff through to elected officials and the general public. I am at ease in looking after several projects at once and flourish in fast-moving situations where the priorities may have to change in response to new community needs. I look forward to having the chance to talk about how my experience in policy analysis and my enthusiasm for public service match the aims of your department. Thank you for taking my application into consideration. I am looking forward to the possibility of helping to advance [City Name]'s ongoing efforts to serve its residents effectively. Sincerely, [Your Name]

Dear Hiring Manager, I'm reaching out because the Policy Analyst opening with the City of [City Name] grabbed my attention. My work in public‑policy research, data crunching and community outreach feels like a good fit for what you're trying to achieve, more equitable, livable neighborhoods. These days I'm a Policy Research Associate at [Current Organization]. Last year I dove into the affordable‑housing arena, pulling apart zoning rules, chatting with residents and pulling best‑practice examples from peer cities. The result? Three concrete recommendations that the council adopted, and a 15 % bump in affordable units the following year. Good policy isn't just numbers on a spreadsheet; it's listening to the people those numbers affect. I've spent years building bridges with neighborhood groups, local business owners and city officials, making sure every voice gets a seat at the table. Running public forums and translating technical findings into plain‑language handouts has become second nature, sometimes I even end up field‑testing a draft on the street outside a council meeting. What really pulls me toward this role is the city's push on [specific area, e.g., sustainable transportation]. I saw the recent [project/policy] rollout and thought, "That's exactly the kind of work I thrive on." My own stint on a bike‑lane feasibility study gave me hands‑on experience that lines up nicely with your goals. I'm comfortable with R, Stata and the usual statistical toolbox, and I can turn a dense data set into a story that a mayor, a planner or a neighborhood resident can all follow. Juggling several projects at once? No problem, I actually enjoy the fast‑paced, ever‑shifting environment that city work brings. I'd love to chat about how my background and passion for public service could help the department hit its targets. Thanks for taking the time to read this; I look forward to the chance to contribute to [City Name]'s continued progress. Sincerely, [Your Name]
